SWDDF provides an excellent forum for learning, sharing and getting to know others in similar roles. I have found it to be a very useful network for my own learning and that of my team.

What We've Achieved

  • SWDDF has more than 200 charitable organisations spread across the South West as active members.

  • In 2016 we commissioned a locally-delivered, leadership development programme for charity leaders that avoided the time and cost of travelling to London.

  • We delivered what our members requested: expert-led learning sessions, action learning of ‘live’ issues plus one-to-one coaching.

  • The first cohort of 15 charity leaders began their 11-month programme in September 2016 which concluded in July 2017.

  • The second cohort of 12 charity leaders began in Oct 2017 and completed until July 2018.

  • The third cohort of 17 charity leaders begin in Oct 18 and be supported until July 19.

  • Peer learning groups are a new service in 2018 in response to requests.

  • If you would like to find out joining the next cohort to run from October 2019 - July 2020, please click 'Take Action' above.
