what we do
SWDDF began in 2007 with 4 charity Directors in Bristol. It quickly expanded as word spread. Now over 200 charities spanning the South West region belong to the voluntary network.
It is free for any local charity to join - contact email@example.com. Details are private and never shared.
Meetings are held 3 or 4 times per year on topics suggested by members, with exceptional guest speakers.
We publicise members’ events and job vacancies FREE OF CHARGE through the monthly e-newsletter.
Charities send a representative with strategic and budgetary responsibility to meetings. This ensures our forums are high-level, strategic and everyone has the chance to get to know their peers.

One-to-one executive coaching is a new service for 2019.
SWDDF Leadership Development Programme was commissioned by and for local charity leaders to meet their needs and budgets.
It includes expert-led learning sessions, action learning of ‘live’ issues plus one-to-one coaching. More than 45 charity CEOs and senior leaders have participated in SWDDF’s Leadership Development Programme since 2016.
